Allison Schlegel is a visual artist based in Brooklyn, N.Y. Using video, sculpture and performance, she channels fictional characters and draws from personal experiences to engage themes of the human condition. Employing comedic physicality and timing, she often casts herself in specific scenes as a way of understanding how social history infiltrates our emotional landscape.
Allison Schlegel earned her BFA in Sculpture and Public Art from The University of Vermont and The Glasgow School of Art (Scotland) combined. She also studied Industrial Design and earned a MID from Pratt Institute.
